This new series has been commissioned by Jocks&Nerds, to complement and support their ongoing Community of Craft series, in association with Shinola.

Jocks & Nerds is the London based quarterly magazine and website that covers style, history and culture. Shinola, based in Detroit, are dedicated to producing American built products, including watches, bicycles, leather goods and journals of the

highest possible quality.

The content sees the two brands partnering to showcase the local and global importance of craft in the 21st century.

Kicking off the series is Nigel Ruwende, the Managing Director of Saint&Birchley, who creates handmade and bespoke aprons for a range of clients including restaurants and other craftsman.

In this film Ruwende talks to about his working practice and introduces his uncle who also inspired him in his work today.

Community of Craft: Phil Cuttance

The second film in the series features designer/maker Phil Cuttance and his incredible resin pots and vases.

We visit Phil at his north London studio to find out more about the process and see him making them live at the Jocks & Nerds pop-up in the Shinola store, Soho.
